Description

David Njoku is one of nine children born to Nigerian parents who immigrated to the US.  He played college football at the University of Miami, and was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft as the 29th overall pick. He played in all 16 games of both the 2017 and the 2018 season, in 2018 as the starting tight end. Although he missed most of the 2019 due to a concussion and a broken wrist, the browns activated the fifth year option on his contract in 2020.
