 Kinrooi Tennis

Summary

Belgian tennis player | 3× EDYG gold medallist (2026) | Deaflympics Tokyo 2025 quarterfinalist | Competing in mainstream tennis.

Description

My name is Emiel Schippers, and I am a Belgian competitive tennis player and international deaf tennis athlete.

I was born deaf, but I have never allowed my hearing impairment to limit my sporting ambitions. Tennis has been a major part of my life for many years, and I am determined to continue developing as an athlete, both in deaf tennis and mainstream competitive tennis.

My international achievements include:

  • 2026: Three gold medals at the European Deaf Youth Games in Hannover, Germany.

  • 2025: Quarterfinalist at the Deaflympics in Tokyo, Japan.

  • 2024: Two bronze medals in international deaf tennis competition.

Alongside my international achievements in deaf tennis, I compete against hearing players in Belgian tennis competitions. This combination is an important part of my sporting identity: I want to prove myself at the highest possible level, regardless of hearing ability.

I combine approximately 10 hours of tennis training per week with my law studies at Hasselt University. This requires discipline, perseverance, time management and a strong commitment to achieving my goals.

Why sponsor me?

By supporting me, a sponsor becomes part of an ambitious sporting journey built on dedication, inclusion and international competition.

I can offer sponsors visibility through competitions, training sessions, sporting events and social media. I am also interested in building long-term partnerships in which I can represent brands professionally and authentically.

My ambition is to continue improving my level, compete internationally and inspire other young athletes, particularly those with hearing impairments, to pursue their sporting dreams.

I am looking for partners who believe in ambition, perseverance and the power of sport to overcome barriers.
