Jakob De Brum

Jakob De Brum is a 14-year-old 2nd Dan black belt from Abingdon, Oxfordshire. At the JKS World Championships in Vitória, Brazil (August 2026), he was crowned World Champion in Individual Kata and also won Gold in Team Kumite, representing England as a JKS England Squad member. He has also earned EKF E1 Gold, European Silver (Kata) and European Bronze (Team Kumite).

He has trained in Shotokan karate since the age of 5 at JKS Abingdon (formerly Can Do Martial Arts). Alongside his sport, Jakob is registered with three professional modelling agencies, and stunt professional Jon Xue Zhang (Doctor Strange, Rogue One, Eternals, Hobbs & Shaw) has described him as “exceptional”.

His journey has been covered by the Oxford Mail, both when he was selected for England and when he came home a World Champion, and is followed on jdbsports.co.uk, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Three sponsors are already on board: Motion Mender, Pink Coco London and PartMax.

Sponsorship is offered as a marketing partnership with three tiers: Bronze (£100–£250), Silver (£250–£600) and Gold (£600–£1,200+). Each includes logo placement on the JDB Sports website, social media mentions and content visibility, with logo placement on training kit and tracksuits at higher tiers (and on competition kit where competition rules allow).

Following Jakob’s double gold at the JKS World Championships in Brazil (August 2026), sponsorship now powers the next chapter – building on his World Champion title through the coming competitive seasons.

Funds go towards ongoing training at JKS Abingdon, specialist conditioning and kata coaching, competition entry fees, travel, equipment, and kit carrying sponsor branding. As a JKS England Squad member, Jakob competes on the national and international circuit, giving sponsors visibility throughout the season.
