Lander De Smedt

My passion is lifesafing. I have been selected for the Belgian promising core of life saving, the Yellow Seals. Recently I won a bronze medal at the Belgian open water championships in the discipline beach flags. I hope that by having my own equipment I can train more and reach my goals faster. I dream of being selected for the Belgian national team one day and participating in European or world championships. The ultimate dream is when Lifesafing is an Olympic sport to be able to participate in the Olympic Games.

Now I can only practice with the club if they include open water training. When I have my own board/ski I can train more and bring myself to a higher level.  Since I am a student, I do not have the financial means to finance this myself. I hope that I can make my dream come true in this way and take a step up in the lifesaving sport.
