Raffaele Rubino
Born in Matera (MT) on 27/08/1987.
The passion for motor sports, inherited from his father, matures already in his young adolescence.
at the age of 14 he ventured into his first regional competitions, later in 2005 he took part in his first Italian championship with excellent results, finishing in 2nd place overall.
The following years become more demanding due to the changes in the category, but important results and pole positions are not lacking.
In 2011 the transition to the stock 1000 category of the most important Italian speed championship, where he was able to compete with many international level drivers. Concluding the races always in excellent positions.
In 2013 the first most important results arrive, taking home the title of Italian champion of the Bridgestone Challenge.
Then in 2014 another great result, finishing 1st overall in the Michelin cup and 4th in the National Trophy.
Thanks to these results, in 2015 and 2016 he became Michelin test driver for the development of new tires in the National Trophy.
In 2017, upon arrival in the Dunlop cup, he imposed himself as 3rd overall under 30.
In 2018 there are always important results in the Dunlop cup. Always ranking in the top 5 on all circuits. Closing the season with a flourish with a podium on the Misano circuit.
In 2019 Dunlop cup 1000 runner-up
In 2020, due to Covid, he limited himself to competing in some stages of the Italian championship, always with excellent results.
In 2021 the transition to a new category: the Superior cup, in which he was the protagonist for the whole season, playing for the title until the last race, concluding the championship with the title of Vice-champion.
