World Sprint Series

100 m Cross-Country Skiing or Super Sprint as it is also called, is a relatively new competition distance in Cross-Country Skiing. The first Super Sprint was run in Östersund in 2017 and this year the competition concept is being developed into the official world tour for the distance under the name World Sprint Series. During the 2019/2020 ski season, the World Sprint Series will be run in five different countries for a total of six competitions. The start is in Östersund on November 9th and ends in Hafjell in Norway on April 3rd, 2020. In Cross-Country Skiing it is unique to have full overview of the course as a spectator. Our concept gives the spectator not only that but also access to the stars before start and after reaching the finish. This will give the skiing Industry plenty of opportunity to showcase the latest gears / developments and the racers a natural connection to the fans. The purpose of the Super Sprint is to develop Cross-Country Skiing into an arena sport with new stars who are specialists in skiing a true sprint distance.
